GCCS is dedicated to the restoration and preservation of the historic Gasconade County Courthouse building, which has served our county well for more than 100 years.

Membership and Donations
As history has shown, Gasconade County government probably will never have the funding to properly maintain our courthouse. The decision to restore, improve, and maintain the courthouse will ultimately come from the citizens. We must take ownership of the problem and commit ourselves to work side by side with the County Commission to preserve the Courthouse as a functioning government building.
To that end, a group of citizens gathered on April 23, 2008, to form the Gasconade County Courthouse Society. The purpose of the Society is to acquire monies to restore, retain, preserve, and expand the facilities of the Gasconade County Courthouse in Hermann in order to meet the current and future needs as the county seat.
Individuals and families are invited to become members of the Gasconade County Courthouse Society and to participate a worthy cause that will ultimately benefit all the citizens for generations to come.

Funding for the GCCS to assist the County Commission with restoration, retention, preservation, and expansion of the Gasconade County Courthouse will come from membership dues and tax-deductible financial contributions from individuals, businesses, and organizations.
